Cooking has its own rythms. Watch a chef, a baker, or a pizza maker. They all perform rythmical movements in their craft. Once you perfect something you learn it like a choreography. With this project i played with the thought of a food bar becoming an instrument, translating the movements of cooking into sound.
How does it change the way you cook? How does it affect the cooperative kitchen dynamics? How do different meals sound? Can you hear how skilled someone is in the kitchen?
A food bar is not complete without guests. The stools and table have sensors so that sitting down produces a tone, with a fully seated establishment playing a chord.
The result is the noisy hummus bar.
